
The Platform Promise vs. the Execution Reality
Every OKR platform promises the same thing: clarity of purpose, alignment across teams, and transparency of progress. And to their credit, most of them deliver these things — at the moment objectives are being written.
The problem is that execution does not happen at the moment objectives are written. It happens in the 13 weeks between the planning session and the quarterly review. And in those 13 weeks, most OKR platforms are passive: they store data, they display progress bars, and they send reminder emails that teams learn to ignore.
