Our Engagement Process

We believe that client collaboration is imperative to a successful project.

Every one of McKenna Agile Consultants' clients and projects are unique, whether it is an Agile transformation, training program or an OKR implementation and comes with its own requirements but, typically, our onboarding process looks something like this:

  1. We’ll sit down with you to understand what your goals for the project are. We like to be clear on understanding how we will measure success.
  2. Once we know your key success criteria, we will then discuss the overall scope, the number of people and teams involved and the delivery roadmap of the project.
  3. When we've agreed on the scope and key success criteria, we’ll prepare our proposal and provide an investment cost.
  4. When we’re ready to get started, we’ll sit down again to have a project planning meeting. This will help us to ensure that nothing significant has changed and allow us to provide up to date timelines.
  5. The work is then usually delivered by a mix of in person and remote working, depending upon the nature of the project, your needs and what we agree.
  6. We review the project with you every week to monitor against your key success criteria, ask questions and get any feedback.
  7. We continue to deliver against your goals and remain flexible to adapt where neccesary as we go to any changes in your desired outcomes.

Aaron McKenna

Aaron McKenna is experienced in leading, transforming, working in, teaching, coaching and consulting in Agile methodologies across multiple geographies and timezones for over 12 years.

Most recently, Aaron has been an integral part in multiple global SAFe implementations, one for a multinational food, snack, and beverage organisation with revenues of over $60billion and over 250,000 employees and secondly for a large US based financial services company of over 15,000 employees and revenues of over $8billion. On both transformations McKenna Agile Consultants provided transformational thought leadership, lead coaching, remote working workshops and executive consultancy on multiple programs, launching multiple Agile release trains, spanning 4 continents.

Aaron is also uniquely experienced in enabling an Agile approach to the deployment and adoption of a SAP transformation. Through McKenna Agile Consultants, Aaron has been able to train and work with teams and programs in the UK, USA, Central America, Mainland Europe, the Middle East, India and China.

Amongst numerous certifications he lists Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Practice Consultant (SPC), Collaboration Superpowers Facilitator, Management 3.0 Licensed Facilitator, LeSS Practitioner, Certified Scrum Master, Product Owner and Professional amongst them.
